Mohd Hafizi Ahmad (Member, IEEE) received the B.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Johor Bahru, Malaysia, in 2009 and 2013, respectively.,He was a Visiting Researcher with the University of Leicester, Leicester, U.K., Tanjungpura University, Pontianak, Indonesia, and Sriwijaya University, Palembang, Indonesia. He was a Technical Advisor with Global Testing Services (M) Sdn Bhd, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and a Principal Consultant with Maha Power Sdn Bhd, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He is currently working as a Senior Lecturer and a Research Fellow with the Institute of High Voltage and High Current (IVAT), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Johor Bahru, Malaysia. In IVAT UTM, he serves as the Testing and Calibration Manager, where he is also involved in many calibration and testing jobs related to high-voltage equipment. He is also a Registered Professional Technologist under the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT). His research covers conventional and unconventional partial discharge measurements, plasma applications, nanodielectrics, and condition monitoring and diagnostic techniques.,Mr. Ahmad is a member of CIGRE, and IET, U.K.
